Victims of fatal police action often confused, non-Western and man

In police incidents that have resulted in a fatality in recent years, the victim often displayed confused behaviour. Middle-aged men with a non-Western migration background were also overrepresented. These are some of the conclusions of a scientific investigation into fifty such incidents between 2016 and 2020, carried out by Bureau Beke on behalf of the police and Rijksrecherche.
