Philipp Stromf remains in the 2nd Bundesliga in 1846 after relegation with SSV Ulm in 1846 and changes to the Ruhr area. However, FC Schalke 04 is not awarded the contract, but VfL Bochum. According to the “WAZ”, the relegated Bundesliga has pulled the exit clause, which is said to be in the low six-digit range.
Strompf moved from Sweden to Ulm in January 2024 and convinced this season as a defense chief. He was always in the starting eleven in 28 missions and scored two goals. After relegation, he had confirmed his departure on Friday by Instagram, although his contract was still running until 2026. Several clubs from the 2nd league were also considered interested.
It is now apparently certain that he will be the third new addition to VfL Bochum, all for the defensive. Colin Kleine-Küel comes from Holstein Kiel, Leandro Morgalla with a loan with a purchase option of Red Bull Salzburg. These players are needed to fill the gap that Bernardo, Ivan Ordets, Cristian Gamboa and Mohammed Tolba (all transfer -free) and Tim Oermann (for € 1.5 to € 2 million to Bayer 04 Leverkusen) leave left. The idea of Stromf is planned for the beginning of next week.
