“Remarkable Passion”
Florian Schock will remain at VfB Stuttgart beyond the end of the season. As the Swabians announced, the expiring contract with the 20-year-old goalkeeper was extended until 2024. Schock has been with VfB since the U16s and was promoted to the Bundesliga squad last summer, where he has been on the bench seven times this season. In the regional league team, Schock was between the posts 17 times in 2020/21 and seven times in 2021/22.
“Flo has earned his place in the professional squad with remarkable passion and great ambition since the summer training camp,” praised VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat when announcing the extension. Schock’s sporting development is progressing “constantly, so that it is a logical step for us to tie him to VfB beyond the summer. As a long-time player at our youth academy, Flo fits perfectly into our group and we look forward to continuing to work with him.”

The Stuttgarters have thus tied their goalkeeper trio long-term: Schock and number two, Fabian Bredlow (26), until 2024 and the regular keeper Florian Müller (24), who came from Mainz before the season, until 2025.
