The US authorities plan to send to Ukraine five Mi-17 helicopters from the stocks of the Ministry of Defense. This was announced by White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki.
According to her, on January 19, the US administration informed Congress about this decision. Helicopters can be delivered as part of the Excess Defense Articles program.
Earlier, the American diplomatic mission in Ukraine announced the delivery to Kiev 90 tons of weapons and ammunition. It was the first batch provided to Ukraine as part of a support program approved by the US president.
