Urby Emanuelson returns to Ajax. The former player of the team from Amsterdam becomes assistant coach at Jong Ajax and signs for two years. He will assist Dave Vos.
“I am very happy to return,” said Emanuelson. “As an eight-year-old boy I already walked into De Meer and when you hear that Ajax is interested, those old memories bloom again. I am very happy to be back. Within the staff of Jong Ajax I want to transfer my creativity to the talents, both on and off the field.”

Emanuelson played 172 matches for Ajax between 2004 and 2011. He was later active for AC Milan, Fulham and FC Utrecht, among others. The former player was an individual trainer at the club from Domstad last season.
