The presidential election campaign at Real Madrid is becoming more and more degenerate. On Wednesday, both incumbent Florentino Pérez and opponent Enrique Riquelme made extensive transfer promises that they want to keep if they win next Sunday’s election.

Riquelme leaned extraordinarily far out of the window. On “Antena 3” he announced that he would bring Haaland to the Bernabéu if he won. He promised that his teammate Rodri would also come.

“In the event that I fail to keep any promise regarding these players, I have signed a guarantee that I will pay 100 percent of the contributions of all members in the coming season,” assured the businessman, who also promised never to sell shares in the club to investors.
Riquelme also went on a direct confrontation course with Pérez, who wants to bring in José Mourinho as the new Real coach. “He is a good coach, but his style is completely different from ours. We don’t want him in our project. I have another coach in mind,” said the challenger, without giving a specific name.

Pérez also went out on a limb in the “AS” interview and promised some transfer hits. Among other things, he assured the commitment of Ibrahima Konaté if he is re-elected.
