Eintracht Frankfurt is again expecting a large travel group for the DFB Cup final in Berlin against RB Leipzig.
“50,000 to 60,000 will certainly come,” said the sports director Markus Krösche on Monday when the trophy was handed over to the host city of Berlin in the Red Town Hall. “Our fans always turn these finals into very special days,” said Krösche.
The 2022 Europa League winner and his fans would have shown this on the big trips to the international games in recent years. “They will make Berlin a home game.” In the final on June 3 (8:00 p.m.), the Hessians will face defending champions RB Leipzig.
“The people of Leipzig don’t need to hide,” said Krösche’s RB colleague Max Eberl. The ticket contingent of the Saxons was sold out in a very short time. According to Eberl, many other RB fans will also make the journey. Both clubs received around 20,000 tickets for the final.
