Amsterdam – by Wierd Duk Excess mortality in the Netherlands is high, even if you do not count the registered corona deaths: at the moment about a thousand people die every week more than might be expected. What are the causes? Nobody knows. Member of Parliament Pieter Omtzigt wants the government to commission an academic study. “A thousand extra deaths a week, that requires research.”
