Leah Lawall (DSHS Cologne), Adina Machwirth (is HS Düsseldorf) and Anna Siepmann (HS Bochum) secured the bronze medal in the Team Poomsae after strong performance in preliminary round and finals.

Sebastian Lehmann, head of discipline at the General German University Association (ADH), was enthusiastic: “It was a great performance, the three delivered in the preliminary round and put it on again in the final.”

After the trio deservedly prevailed in the preliminary round against Singapore, the teams from Taiwan, Korea and the USA were narrowly beaten in the final on Friday.

Anna Siepmann was visibly happy about the deserved bronze medal: “The tournament was great. We were able to top up a lot of energy at the Opening Ceremony. We also prepared ourselves very well on site and then called up our performance,” said Siepmann. “Leah in the Poomsae, in which she never competes, has super performed and we are very proud of her and our common performance,” said Siepmann, beaming.

The men’s team around Ken-Levan Jordt (FH Kiel), Fabian Reich (TU Berlin) and Emir Can Erdemir (LMU Munich) reached seventh place.
