Anssi Autio says in a Linkedin publication that he is leaving the position of chief producer of the New Music Competition.

The chief producer of Ylen’s New Music Competition, Anssi Autio, has left his position.
Autio has told about it at the beginning of June LinkedInin his publication. Autio co-founded the New Music competition in 2011.
– I am grateful for the role I have had. I am also grateful for the opportunity that I had to build a music competition and entertainment format from UMK, which has grown into one of Europe’s most prestigious national Eurovision qualifiers, Autio writes.
According to Autio, the New Music Competition is from now on “in the best possible hands”.
– A diverse group of talented people who respect each other, share a common vision and constantly exceed expectations. I can never thank enough all those with whom I have been able to work, create new things, challenge myself, celebrate successes and grow during these years. Together, we have taken UMK forward with passion and ambition, Autio continues.
In its publication, Autio thanks several different parties that have been part of UMK.
– Special thanks to Yle’s management for the trust, patience and support shown over the years, he writes.
Autio does not reveal his future plans in his publication. He says that he is now enjoying the summer while thinking about what to do next.
