Rachel Hazes is furious with Private Boss Evert Santegoeds after an article about the cleared grave of her mother-in-law. She doesn’t let that pass her by. “This will cost you dearly.”
The grave of the mother of the late André Hazes has been cleared, which denies an unprecedented family feud. Private is making a big splash this week with the story of Arie, André Hazes’ brother, who wanted to go to his mother’s grave on Mother’s Day and could no longer find it. The accusing finger points towards Rachel Hazes.
“It was RACHEL!”
What exactly happened is now a story with multiple versions. Arie says that the grave was cleared without him being warned, and that Rachel could have prevented that. Arie’s brother Theo sees it differently: he states that on September 23, 2025 – the anniversary of André’s death – it was jointly decided to have the remains cremated.
De Privé by editor-in-chief Evert Santegoeds mainly focuses on Arie’s view. He writes large: “The only one who could have prevented this seems to be RACHEL. Why didn’t she do something?”
In all states
What exactly is it? Jordi Versteegden, Evert’s showbiz buddy, joins in Show news: “According to Arie, that is André’s brother, the grave was cleared with the knowledge of Rachel. She would have the rights to that grave. That is of course quite an accusation against Rachel and yes, you can imagine that she is in all states.”
Rachel is really furious. She writes down Instagram with an apparently edited photo of her mother-in-law’s urn: “After 22 years of lies about me, led by Mr. Santegoeds, it apparently still works for De Telegraaf. Let’s just show that Mr. Santegoeds is completely wrong again for the 24,000th time.”
‘The Netherlands again’
It looks like Rachel is threatening legal action. “Be careful what you keep saying, because it could cost you dearly,” she writes. Then: “Well, the Netherlands is back.”
Jordi concludes: “Not so positive for Evert. She doesn’t tell us what those lies are in André’s brother’s story, but of course we started calling around to see what everyone thinks about it.”
What does Theo say?
Brother Theo chimes in RTL Boulevard that there is nothing correct about the story in Privé. “We have jointly decided to have the remains cremated on September 23, 2025, the anniversary of André’s death. My mother is at home with me, Rachel and the only granddaughter Monique Hazes who was also interested in this!”
The program also contacted the angry brother Arie, but he now says: “I’m not saying anything at the moment because I have to figure out a few things, you will hear me when I have the evidence.”
Photo edited
How does Evert view it? “We spoke to Evert Santegoeds briefly and he let us know that he thinks the photo has been edited. It’s all very different, he says. He doesn’t believe anything about it,” says Luuk Ikink.
