Two men (18, 21) in court for brutal rape

The indictment makes you shudder: Brian B. (18) is said to have held a young woman (18) in a Charlottenburg backyard, so that his buddy Hassan Ba. (21) could rape her.

The trial against the duo before a juvenile chamber of the regional court began on Thursday. The accusation: serious rape, particularly serious robbery, dangerous bodily harm. The details read out by the public prosecutor are depressing:

How the two accused are said to have started groping the victim early in the morning around 6 a.m. on Fürstenplatz. How the friend who rushed to help (“Leave her alone”) was said to have been seriously injured by them with the telescopic baton (including traumatic brain and abdominal trauma). And how they are said to have threatened his girlfriend, who wanted to protect him, with a butterfly knife and cut off her fingers.

How the horror for the young woman who was dragged into the backyard is said to have continued. Where she is said to have been raped so brutally that she suffered skin abrasions and abdominal pain and had to undergo psychological treatment. Only when police sirens could be heard did the men rush in – with the stolen bags of their victims.

During Hassan Ba. Initially silent about the allegations, Brian B. told a completely different story. Announced: “I have a clear conscience.” He did nothing.

They met the couple on Breitscheidplatz. Celebrated together. With a lot of alcohol. “We liked each other.” Hassan flirted with the girl, “exchanged tenderness.” Which annoyed her friend.

Brian B. later claims to have received pills from this friend. Which soon had an effect. “Somehow the ceiling came towards me.” He then “kept falling asleep again.” Until Hassan called: “Come on, we have to go now.”

He could not imagine that he should have held the young woman. Not even hurting her boyfriend.
