Twenties testify about harrowing ordeal in a faulty cable lift: “As if we were standing on the edge of our own grave”

After a nail-biting rescue operation in which six children and two adults dangled for hours in a malfunctioning cable car above a ravine about 300 meters deep, all occupants were rescued. What started as an ordinary Tuesday morning quickly became a nightmare for the eight occupants. “It felt like we were standing on the edge of our own grave,” says Gulfaraz (20).
