The time has come in a few weeks: On July 2, the European Football Championship begins. Switzerland is hosting for the tournament for the first time. 16 teams will play for the title in a total of 31 matches in total in a total of 31 encounters. The UEFA Women’s European Championships starts in the ARD with the opening match day on July 2. Iceland – Finland (6 p.m.) and Switzerland – Norway (9 p.m.) can be seen live in the first and in the ARD Mediathek. The 45-minute film accompanies Jule Brand, Giulia Gwinn and Sjoeke Nüsken and gives deep insights into everyday life and soul life of the young internationals.

Also from July in the ARD Mediathek: “Girls cannot play football” – a journey through time on the subject of how women conquered football – and “Kick it like Women”. The film looks at the development of young German young players in football on their way to the top of the world.
