A National Women’s Volleyball Team lost to the USA 3-2 in the fourth match of the first week in the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Nations League.
In the organization held in Antalya Sports Hall hosted by Turkey, the national team under the management of head coach Daniele Santarelli could not start the first set with the desired performance.
Turkey, which was defeated 8-3 in the first minutes with the effective play of the opposing players, has established the balance in the game from this minute with the support of the fans. The USA won the first set, which was contentious, 25-22, making the situation 1-0.
When the “Sultans of the Net” couldn’t play the game they wanted at the end of the second set, where they started effectively and led most of them, they lost 25-22 and fell back 2-0.
Playing effectively in the third set, the crescent-stars won the set 25-22, bringing the score to 2-1.
Leading the fourth set with the consecutive points of Ebrar Karakurt and Vargas, Turkey won the set 25-11 and made the score 2-2.
Unable to respond to the opponent’s effective play in the last set, Turkey lost the set 15-9 and the match 3-2.
On the other hand, the spectators, who filled the hall with great interest in the match, continued to support the “Sultans of the Net” throughout the match.
US Ambassador to Ankara Jeff Flake also watched the match.
