Het Flemish Parlement does not have the light on the big one for higher boats and longer cell tightening in dierenmishandeling. The decree of Minister van Dierenwelzijn Ben Weyts (N-VA) stipulates that dierenbeulen for up to 5 years can be punished with a prison sentence. Bij recidive gaat that zelfs around 10 years. According to Minister Weyts, he has decreed that he shall not be allowed to defend his rights.
