Tokayev instructed to charge Kazakhstanis 200 SMS and 300 minutes of conversation – RBK

All residents of Kazakhstan will receive 200 SMS messages and 300 minutes of phone calls for free, the President of the country Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev gave the corresponding order, transfers “Sputnik Kazakhstan”

This decision was taken by the authorities against the background of the aggravation of the situation due to mass protests. Earlier, on January 5, the Internet was turned off throughout Kazakhstan. Media resources and websites of state bodies stopped working in the country.

On January 7, in an address to the nation, Tokayev said that he had made a decision to restore access to the Network in certain regions of the country at certain time intervals. He stressed that this does not mean freedom to post materials that contain libel, insult and incitement.
