Imashev is the matchmaker of the daughter of the former President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev Dariga, they write Orda.kz and “Sputnik Kazakhstan“. Also, according to the latter, Nazarbayev’s eldest grandson Nurali Aliyev is married to Imashev’s daughter.
Tokayev appointed Nurlan Abdirov as the new head of the CEC, who had was Member of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

Also, two other sons-in-law of Nazarbayev lost their positions – Dimash Dosanov, the chairman of the board of KazTransOil JSC, who is married to the youngest daughter of the ex-president, Aliya, and Kairat Sharipbayev, the chairman of the board of QazaqGaz National Company JSC, who is called the husband of the eldest daughter, Dariga.
