Time put Biden and the clouds gathering over him on the cover

January 20 marks exactly one year since the start of Joe Biden’s stay in the White House. During the presidential elections, he won a near-record number of votes, but by the beginning of his second year as head of state, his approval rating is about 40%. According to Morning Consult/Politico, Biden’s disapproval rating is 56% (4% undecided). At the same time, Democratic voters continue to support him: 78% support him, but only 34% unconditionally. Among Republican voters, 91% do not approve of the actions of the American leader.

Over the past year, Biden managed to reduce the unemployment rate to 3.9%, but this figure was even lower than the official forecast of 4.6%. Overall employment is still below pre-pandemic levels, but jobless claims are at a 50-year low.
