Tielt city council approves RUP despite local residents protest

A new allotment will be constructed between Felix D’hoopstraat and Driesstraat. The neighborhood fears much more traffic and flooding. The RUP now states that the strictest standards for buffering and drainage will be met. The distance to the existing houses is increased. There will be no mobility problems, says the mayor. No through traffic is allowed and we only allow 20 homes per hectare, so that can’t lead to much more traffic. The neighborhood committee wants to look at the plan before making a judgment.
