Mayor Joost van Oostrum has filed a complaint. He says he experiences the destruction as “very intimidating”.
“We realize that there is a lot of tension in society at the moment, but we are very shocked by this behavior. We have filed a report and are awaiting the investigation by the police,” Mayor Van Oostrum said.
According to Omroep Gelderland, municipal employees discovered on Sunday morning that the cars had been destroyed; windows were smashed and the vehicles were scratched.
