Also, 12 boys were named after the main character of the Potter series – Harry, and six born were named after the football player Lionel Messi.
Girls parents in Moscow called Severin (1), Augustina (4), Neva (3), Teresa, Malvina, Freya, Delfina, Kosmeya, Ariel, Medea, Muse and Electra.
In 2021, some parents chose such Old Slavic names for their children as Bronislav, Matthew, Methodius, Elizar, Svyatogor for boys and Lada, Pelageya, Martha, Fevronia, Radoslava and Rumiana. Also, boys began to be called more often by the name Miron, and girls – Yesenia.
