In the top game against Liverpool on Sunday (2-2), Tuchel deleted the 28-year-old from the squad.
“It got too big and caused too much unrest, and so shortly before the game. That’s why I decided to protect the preparation for the game, and that’s why he’s out,” said the former BVB coach, explaining his tough, but consistent decision.
