This was the great hobby of Camilla, the future queen consort

The young Camilla was a passionate rider.

Future Queen

Queen Elizabeth (95) recently announced that Duchess Camilla may be called queen (consort) in the future. A great honor for Prince Charles’ second wife. The title queen consort refers to the wife of a reigning king. Since Prince Charles will become King of the United Kingdom in the future, that will also have major consequences for Camilla’s title.

rich man’s daughter

While Camilla currently always looks neat, well-groomed and feminine, it used to be completely different. As a girl growing up she was often described as ‘tomboy’, and was often outdoors and in nature. Her background is in line with the wealthy social class she grew up in, and this was reflected in the sport she enjoyed, despite her ‘boyish nature’.

A passionate rider

Growing up, she was already a great lover of horses. Camilla was a passionate rider with talent and spent much of her spare time in the saddle. She was passionate about equestrian sports during her childhood and in the years that followed, including when she worked as a secretary for various firms in the West End.

Became more careful

At the moment, however, Camilla can hardly be found on the horse anymore. It is not known whether horse riding is a bygone passion or whether she has become more careful given her age.

Queen Máxima has collected a beautiful collection of hundreds of fantastic dresses. These dresses and other royal museum pieces are kept in special places, according to our royalty reporter Rick Evers.
