The fountain weighs 14,000 kilos and consists of 3600 parts. Dismantling at the Binnenhof and transporting it to Vorden was therefore quite a job. The fountain will be stored by Oldenhave in the coming years, because the Binnenhof complex will be thoroughly renovated (see box at the bottom of this story). Last week, the blacksmith and his colleagues first disconnected the ironwork of the fountain piece by piece.
