The police will continue today with the investigation into the stabbing last night at a cafe in Nieuw-Weeringe. A man was injured and a suspect was immediately arrested.
The police announced today that the victim is an 18-year-old man from the municipality of Borger-Odoorn. The arrested suspect is a 36-year-old man from Nieuw-Weerdinge. He’s still stuck.
The stabbing took place last night around 8 p.m. on the street near the cafe on the Weerdingekanaal NZ in the village. Police have yet to say anything about the motive for the stabbing. It was also not disclosed what kind of weapon was used.
