The Supreme Court will not review the pardons for the prisoners of the ‘procés’

The Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court has declared the lack of active legitimacy of Vox, the leaders of Ciudadanos and the rest of the appellants against the pardons granted by the Government of Pedro Sanchez to the prisoners of the pro-independence ‘procés’ in Catalonia. In this way, the aforementioned resources are flatly inadmissible, and the grace measure will not be reviewed.

The appellants were Catalan Civic Coexistence; the leaders of Citizens Inés Arrimadas, Carlos Carrizosa and José María Espejo-Saavedra; Vox political party; Popular Party political party; deputies and former deputies of the Parliament of Catalonia of the Popular Party Alejandro Fernández, Santiago Rodríguez, Andrea Levy, Juan Bautista Milian and Lorena Roldán; the former Government delegate in Catalonia Enric Millo; and the Pro Patrimonium Sijena and Jerusalem association.
