The storming of the Brazilian Congress

Thousands of supporters of former President Bolsonaro stormed Brazil’s government center last Sunday. It followed months of turmoil following October’s heady elections, which have deeply divided Brazil. The storming is reminiscent of that of the American Capitol two years ago, although there are also important differences, says foreign editor Merijn de Waal. What did the stormers want to achieve?
