The US State Department ordered the removal of the families of its diplomats from Belarus due to a possible escalation of tension around Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the US Foreign Ministry.
“The State Department on January 31, 2022 issued an order to family members of government employees to leave,” the department said in a statement.

The United States called the situation in the region “unpredictable” and recommended that Americans refrain from traveling to Belarus.
Earlier, on January 24, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reportedthat the United States, Great Britain, Australia and Germany notified Kiev about the departure of some diplomats and family members. Canada later announced the evacuation of its diplomats.
