Good news for the German NFL fans! Another German made it into the NFL as an undrafted free agent.
The Potsdam Maximilian Mang was signed by the Indianapolis Colts after the Draft. Mang played at the Berlin Rebels in Germany and later went to Syracuse to college, where the Tight End could only book 60 yards and a touchdown in four years, but could at least draw attention to themselves to get a chance to prove itself in the NFL.
Exciting: In addition to the obligation by the Indianapolis Colts, Mang was also drafted by the CFL team Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Certainly, Mang will continue his football trip in the NFL.
Mang is the second German player who still finds a home after the draft. Already on Sunday it became known that the New York Jets secure offensive Tackle Leander Wiegand.
Wiegand had left a sustainable impression at the International Combine with 38 repetitions in bench press.
Many Germans fight for Kader-Platz
In addition to Maximilian Mang and Leander Wiegand, there are some other Germans who are fighting for their squad square in the coming season preparations. The Atlanta Falcons already won Kilian Zierer in front of the Draft Kicker Lenny and offensive Lineman.
At the Pittsburgh Steelers, Julius Welschof is now fighting for a place in the squad after his bitter injury in the past Preseason, while Marcel Dabo is a teammate of Mang at the Colts.
David Bada switched to the Lions last year, but unfortunately seriously injured the Achilles tendon and is now trying to get back on his feet. After a roller coaster ride in March, Jakob Johnson was brought by the Houston Texans in March and wants to prove himself there for the squad.
