The new Suske en Wiske can’t be hardened so silly, but what’s worse: where has Schanulleke gone?

After many years of total abstinence, I once again bought a new Suske en Wiske. As it should be, he had an alliteration in the title: The Cave of Gregory. Number 361 in the series. That has come a long way since I finally concluded, halfway through The diligent butterfly (no. 163) that the ‘new’ Suske en Wiskes really weren’t fun anymore and wouldn’t be anymore. That must have been in the late 1970s. I had apparently still struggled through those damn-boring The Chubby Mayfish, The Finty Viking and The Minilots of Kokonera.
