A protocol was signed to transform the house where İbrahim Tatlıses was born in Şanlıurfa into a museum.

A protocol was signed between Şanlıurfa Governor’s Office and Haliliye Municipality in order to bring the house, which has a cave in its courtyard, to tourism in Hızmalı Neighborhood.

Mayor of Haliliye, Mehmet Canpolat, wishing the project to be beneficial for the city, said, “We will restore the house where Şanlıurfa artist İbrahim Tatlıses was born and turn it into a museum to be named after İbrahim Tatlıses. Our project will further accelerate Şanlıurfa’s momentum in tourism, which we call the ‘flueless industry’. It is important in terms of moving up,” he said.
