The head of the German Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Schönbach, commenting on the situation in Ukraine, said that Crimea would never again be part of Ukraine. He said that this fact must be accepted.
He also stressed that Russia is important for the whole world and its position on security guarantees deserves respect.
As for the entry of new countries into NATO, then, as Schönbach said, it is simply unreasonable to accept some into the alliance. This caused outrage in Kiev, they demanded to clarify the words of the commander.
And, according to Bild, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht literally forced Schoenbach to resign. The Commander-in-Chief of the Navy has already expressed regret in connection with the statements made. The warlord said that these words reflect only his personal opinion.
Meanwhile, another batch of weapons from the United States was brought to Ukraine – more than 90 tons. And there will be more deliveries, this was done on Biden’s orders. Moscow has repeatedly called for Ukraine not to be pumped with lethal weapons, as this could push Kiev to try to unleash a war in the Donbass. The United Kingdom also transfers weapons. In addition, Kiev literally demands that Berlin join the supply, but the FRG said that this could lead to an escalation of the conflict. Now Ukraine is trying to beg Germany for at least a few thousand body armor.
