The governor chose Cristiano Ronaldo instead of his job

The governor of Nagasaki is being asked to resign after the politician put football before his work.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a superstar of the football world, whose games every football fan wants to witness on the spot. PDO

There is a great political storm going on in Japan.

One of the many uproar concerns the governor of Nagasaki Kengo Oishiwho is being asked to resign in lieu of his chosen football job.

The uproar stems from a training match played in July in the city of Nagasaki between Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr FC and France’s Paris Saint-Germain. The brightest star of the aforementioned team is Cristiano Ronaldo.

Oishi watched the match on the spot from the stands, although at the same time he had to represent Nagasaki at a summit gathering of other Japanese governors.

Oishi was photographed hanging out with superstar Ronaldo after the match. The controversy was born when the media found out that instead of a football match, Oishi would have been needed elsewhere at the same time.

The governor justified his choice by saying that he tried to establish contact with Ronaldo so that he could promote the Nagasaki area.

In addition, Oishi said that he paid for the entrance ticket to the match from his own pocket. This claim was later found to be false by the media.

Nothing seems to have come of Oishi’s alleged attempt to make Ronaldo the market face of the Nagasaki area either.

Some of the people demand that Oishi be fired for abusing his position of power and neglecting his real work.

– The governor who does not want to do his job should resign, was the message of the people interviewed by the local media.

Reciprocally, there is also understanding for the choice of the governor. Some of the people of Nagasaki felt that the governor’s attempt to make Ronaldo the advertising face of the region was a good idea.

– In my opinion, getting to know Ronaldo was more important than participating in pointless meetings, commented the local.
