After new sponsors dropped out, chief arranger Paul Deckers has had to decide with a heavy heart that the annual flower tribute in Vatican City is a thing of the past. “Terrible,” Deckers calls the decision he communicated to his team on Wednesday evening. “But at some point it just stops.”
