LISSE – The papal tribute ‘Thank you for the flowers’ will no longer be heard during the Easter celebration in St. Peter’s Square. After new sponsors dropped out, chief arranger Paul Deckers has had to decide with a heavy heart that the annual flower tribute in Vatican City is a thing of the past. “Terrible,” Deckers calls the decision he communicated to his team on Wednesday evening. “But at some point it just stops.”
