The Electoral Board of Castilla y León believes that RTVE should organize one of the two electoral debates of the elections in Castilla y León. The supervisory body has reached an agreement to estimate the appeal presented by the public Corporation in which it was requested to organize one of the two electoral debates prior to the community elections next Sunday, February 13.
It should be remembered that this commission, which is made up of media professionals from Castilla y León, decided by a majority of its members that the private media outlet RTVCyL should produce the two electoral debates, rejecting the request of RTVE, which had offered to organize at least one of them.
In the appeal presented by RTVE, it was stated that the public corporation had presented the best offer, with the greatest possible diffusion, since the debate would be broadcast live on television, radio, web, and app.

The two debates were scheduled to take place on January 31 and February 9, although we will have to wait a few days for see if the dates established for these televised specials are maintained or vary depending on what this Commission decides, which must be reconvened urgently.
What will not change about its celebration is that the debates will only have the candidates of the parties with their own parliamentary group in the Cortes of Castilla y León, that is, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco (PP), Luis Tudanca (PSOE) and Francisco Igea (Cs).
