The people’s militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic noted the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) for offensive action on the line of contact in the Donbass, said Ivan Filiponenko, a spokesman for the LPR Ministry of Defense. According to him, the situation “reminiscent of the military.”
According to military intelligence, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, is expected to arrive in the region in the coming days. He will be accompanied by a group of officers of the Ukrainian General Staff, who will be engaged in reconnaissance in the area of the 30th separate mechanized brigade. In the LPR, it is assumed that this particular territory can become the direction of the main attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Over the past day, at least 37 attempts to conduct aerial reconnaissance along the line of contact have been recorded.
The fighters of the people’s militia of the LPR are in constant combat readiness, Filiponenko stated.
