CEO of Vermo race track Heikki Häyhä will remain on sick leave for the time being. Vermo will inform about it on their website.
Acting in place of Häyhä has been appointed as CEO Pertti Koskenniemi. He has previously served on the board of Vermon Ravirata Oy.
Koskenniemi will start his position on Monday, June 5.
Future of the countryside says that the chairman of the board of Vermo Mikko Salminen cannot yet estimate the length of Häyhä’s sick leave.
Acting Koskenniemi, who will become CEO, has had a long working career in various positions in the horse industry. He currently works as an entrepreneur, and according to Salminen, he will now work full-time at Vermo.
– Competition manager Iivari Ingves professionally runs the competition department. His contribution can probably also be used during Häyhä’s sick leave for things outside of the competition, Salminen tells Maaseudun Tulevaisuu.
Häyhä was elected CEO of Vermo at the age of 37 in January 2019.
