The big clean-up: how do we remove CO2 from the atmosphere?

Every day, humanity pumps more than 100 million tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. In order to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees, these emissions do not have to be reduced just like that, but probably even become negative. In other words, removing more CO2 from the atmosphere than we’re adding to it – possibly in 30 years’ time. How do we do that?
