In total, the company sold more than 936,000 vehicles in 2021, an increase of 87 percent from 2020. In that year, Tesla shipped just under half a million vehicles.
The figures for the last three months of 2021 were higher than expected. Analysts predicted some 236,000 deliveries. Tesla has repeatedly stated its long-term target for a 50 percent year-on-year increase in deliveries.
