Who will enter the footsteps of Manuel Neuer and Marc-André Ter Stegen in the German national team? In the new year, Freiburg’s Noah Atubolu (22) and Augsburg’s Finn Dahmen (26) attract two potential candidates. Both have set up a new club record for the longest series without conceding a goal and did not have to reach for ten hours. It was only seven Bundesliga controls before.
Atubolus series of 609 minutes without a goal was ended by the Mainz Jonathan Burkardt at the weekend. Dahmen, who only replaced Nediljko Labrovic in the Augsburg Gate in winter, also kept a white vest in 1-0 against VfL Wolfsburg. In eleven Bundesliga games in 2025, the 26-year-old only had to grab three times and stayed eight times without conceding a goal-most recently six times in a row. Dahmen’s zero series is 613 minutes and could be further expanded after the international break against TSG Hoffenheim. The last one who was able to conquer him was his team -mate Noahkai Banks in early January at 1-1 against St. Pauli.
Timo Hildebrand (Stuttgart, 885 minutes), Oliver Kahn (Bavaria, 805), Manuel Neuer (Bavaria, 771), Koen Casteels (Wolfsburg, 674), Oliver Reck (Bremen, 641) Tim Wiese (Bremen, 620) and Uli Stein (Hamburg, 603) also remained ten hours without a goal in the Bundesliga. The two Bayern-Keephern Neuer and Kahn have already achieved this feat several times. Newly broke the ten-hour mark three times, Kahn twice. Dahmen has the chance to further expand his series after the international break-he lacks a little more than three games for the Bundesliga record.
