Deutsche Telekom equips its employees who work in the flood areas in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate and who are still helping to build the infrastructure there with heated jackets.

The models of the Heatable Capsule Collection, which were created as part of the Telekom Fashion Fusion in cooperation with Alpha Tauri and Schoeller Textil AG, can be partially heated using an intelligent app on the smartphone. The technology is so sophisticated that the wearer can determine which zones should be heated and how intense the heat should be. Telekom is using it to support its employees in winter and would like to thank them for their great dedication. Of the 103,000 landline connections that were originally affected, around 100,000 are now functional again, according to the company in a press release.

Torrential rain in the summer of 2021 in the Ahr valley and the Eifel caused a flood disaster. Even today, the infrastructure such as roads, bridges and houses has not been fully restored in the severely affected areas.
