The incident happened around 8.15 am at Harelbeke station. The suspect – a man in his twenties – fled, but the police were able to arrest him. It is currently unclear whether the two knew each other.
The victim is a student of Sint-Paulus college. According to the school, some students saw the stabbing incident. “These students are cared for and receive support from victim support and the CLB.”
