A 66-year-old taxi driver was able to surrender his driver’s license on Thursday after driving at 156 kilometers per hour on the A2 near Boxtel. There was also a child in the taxi. Officers saw him tearing across the road during a video surveillance.
It was the second time in two and a half years that the man lost his driver’s license. The inspection of the taxi’s on-board computer turned out to have expired. The man was fined 900 euros for this.
