Syrian prison back under control after latest ‘clean ups’ after large-scale ISIS attack

The Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have announced the end of cleanup operations at a prison in the northeastern city of Hasakah. The prison was attacked ten days ago by fighters from the jihadist terror group Islamic State. Hundreds were killed in the fighting. In recent days, the search continued for dozens of IS fighters who were holed up in the northern part of the prison complex.
