Syntus bus rides in the Utrecht region are canceled due to bus drivers on strike | NOW

People who travel on a Syntus bus in Utrecht on Tuesday should take cancellations into account. Due to strikes among bus drivers from the Apeldoorn, Ede and Wageningen locations, fewer buses are running in the Utrecht region.

It is not yet clear which journeys will be canceled. “We only know shortly in advance which rides will be cancelled. That is why we advise you to look for other transport,” says transport company Keolis. The one-day strike has no consequences for the buses and trams of U-OV.

The FNV trade union has announced national actions in regional transport because the members have not agreed with the employers’ final offer of the Collective Labor Agreement for Public Transport. With the actions, bus drivers want to reinforce their position.

The strike that affects the Utrecht region will only take place on Tuesday 7 June. On Wednesday, the bus drivers in Almelo, Oldenzaal, Dedemsvaart and Zwolle will be on strike.
