Sustainable attractive concept for retailers

Imagine a stylish steel display full of jackets that match each season. Think of light jackets, padded jackets or body warmers. This is our Jack in a Bag programme, a beautiful concept from progressive Dutch sports and outdoor clothing company FashionPower.

Innovative

“Jack in a Bag was launched about three years ago,” says Ronald Nelemans, Commercial Director of FashionPower. “I was walking around town with a colleague and we noticed a display with bags. It looked a bit messy but it caught our attention. At FashionPower we are always looking for innovative solutions. That doesn’t apply not only for the development of our sustainable, comfortable and affordable sports and outdoor clothing, but also for their tasteful presentation. We like to think in terms of total solutions for our customers”.

Robust and sustainable display

The concept was aptly named Jack in a Bag. The jackets hang in a pouch on a sturdy black stainless steel display that is built to last. The display measures only 40 x 40 cm and offers space for no fewer than 48 or 72 pockets (depending on the jacket type).

seasonal item

The Jack-in-a-Bag range changes depending on the season and consists of light wind and rain jackets as well as padded jackets. Nelemans: “Our displays can now be found in several European supermarkets and drugstores, but also in shops at holiday parks and campsites, petrol stations, etc. pretty much everywhere. Suppose a consumer goes for a walk and it’s a bit colder than he thought, then he can Buy a jack-in-a-bag jacket on the spot, or a customer is walking in town, it starts to rain and we offer them the possibility with our water-repellent jackets, in short, there are many reasons for this product too to include in the range. After all, convenience is what matters most to us.

sustainability

Nelemans can also briefly comment on the quality of the clothes: “It’s excellent and not only that, the clothes are also made in a very sustainable way. Nelemans: “Everyone knows that the clothing industry is one of the most polluting industries. As a clothing company, we decided years ago that we would no longer be involved.

Our padded jackets are filled with sorona, a material made in part from residual waste that requires less water pollution, energy use and CO2 emissions in its production. Our jackets are PFC free and meet all Reach, Detox and Oeko-Tex standards.”

Europe

The items are beautiful, durable, recyclable, of high quality, hang in a practical steel display and are offered at an attractive price. “Of course we are always open to cooperation with many other retailers,” says Nelemans. “Our goal is to grow significantly in the coming years and to provide the displays with relevant, functional but also commercial products throughout the year.
