Strong increase in seismic vibrations measured at the start of flooding on July 14 last year

On 14 July last year, at the start of the flood disaster in eastern Belgium, a strong increase in seismic tremors was observed in a monitoring station of the Royal Observatory in Membach (Liège). That’s according to a study on the use of seismometers and gravimeters in extreme precipitation events published today.
