The telephone at the control room in the north and east of the Netherlands was red hot on Saturday afternoon due to storm damage caused by the high winds, spokespersons for various security regions reported. Due to the weather conditions, the KNMI had announced code yellow for the provinces of Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe, but that warning has now been withdrawn.
